Your rights

• Right of access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Right to rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") — ask us to delete your account and data.
• Right to restriction of processing.
• Right to object to processing based on legitimate interests.
• Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Right to withdraw consent for optional marketing at any time.
• Right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).

How to exercise your rights

Signed-in users can submit data access, correction and deletion requests from your account settings. We will respond within one month, as required by the GDPR. If we need to extend this period we will let you know why.

Our retention principles

• We retain personal data only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected.
• When you delete documents they are removed from our storage and we do not retain publicly accessible links to them.
• Audit logs of sensitive administrative actions are kept for security and accountability.
• Backups are rotated on a defined schedule and access is restricted.

International transfers

Where personal data is processed outside the European Economic Area by our infrastructure providers, appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place. The list of subprocessors will be published before launch.

Children

MySelfBuild Cost Consultancy Ireland is intended for adults planning a self-build. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
